Born in San
Diego and raised in Rome, Alithia Spuri-Zampetti moved to London to study
fashion.
While attending Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design, she
also worked as an intern with designers Gareth Pugh, Hussein Chalayan and
Alexander McQueen.
Before completing her degree, Alithia took a year out to
gain more experience in different international design houses and Ateliers
including Bruno Pieters, Viktor & Rolf, Louis Vuitton and finally Valentino
where she worked for several seasons, before moving to Lanvin, where she is
currently employed.
Her graduation collection, inspired by the Japanese Furisode,
features tailored denim dresses and overgrown foam collars, got her the
L’Oreal Young Talent Award 2008 in London, the Maria Luisa Award at ITS#7
(International Talent Support) in Trieste and was even exhibited at the Victoria and
Albert Museum... !
